Ordering Prescriptions & Booking Appointments online

We are currently changing the way we deal with repeat prescriptions and are in the process of updating patient records so that you can be given 3 months supply at a time.
However, not all items of medication can be given in these amounts (e.g. controlled drugs) so these will be on a separate prescription.
We would advise you to order your medication about 1 week before it’s due and if possible allow 72 hours before collecting from your chosen pharmacy.

It’s also planned that your medication review will be roughly around the month of your birthday (unless you’ve had a review recently).

Also, do you know it’s much quicker to order medication using NHS app or SystmOnline? Items ordered in this way go straight into the Medical System rather than via a separate email address so there’s less room for human error. (You need to register for SystmOnline to be able to use NHS app.)

You can also book some appointments online using these services e.g. telephone appointments with doctors, blood tests, smears etc.

To register for SystmOnline go to the ‘Online Services’ on the home page and click on the ‘Download Online Services Pre-registration Form’. If you have any problem registering please email [email protected]

Your support is much appreciated.
