There has been a lot of publicity around Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) in the media and we have had a number of queries as a result.
Despite the recent update to national guidance, the eligibility criteria for an NHS prescription remains extremely limited and very specific.  Birmingham & Sollihull ICB have commissioned a service and we are working with our PCN to provide an offer for those in the first cohort, which is currently a very small number of patients.
We are following strict NHS guidance and will not be able to prescribe them to others at this time although we expect the eligible cohort to be increased in a staged roll out over time..
As such, we kindly ask patients not to contact the practice regarding Mounjaro/Tirzepatide treatment.
